Welcome from Rev. Ken
Thank you for taking the time to consider my prosperity courses! After taking and examining many of the Prosperity programs already in the field, I was called to create a truly interactive learning and study experience for my congregants that incorporated their real-life experiences and personal insights. The Absolute Abundance suite of courses is the result.
I also designed these courses for others to teach. The structures I have created call for both the students and the facilitator to be an integral part of the class. Together, we look at thought leaders across many fields and disciplines and use the best minds' research and findings in economics, behavioral studies, and spirituality. We then put their words and concepts to the test, see how they work in our lives, and determine our own individual truth.
What I have uncovered in the process of creating and teaching this class is that, to be truly abundant, I must remain open to learning; I must remain in the beginner's mindset. When I think that I already know something, or that someone else has nothing to teach me, I block the flow of good in my life. It is then amazing how quickly that limited, negative thinking returns and takes hold of my conscious mind once again.
You see, my journey to this place has been a long one. In 2003, I was at my bottom mentally, physically, financially, and spiritually. When I first took a Prosperity class at Unity of New York, I had managed to crawl out of the deep hole of addiction that I had dug for myself, just far enough to know that I longed for something greater. I heard the teachings of abundance and prosperity on Sundays at Unity services, but they were not fully manifesting in my life yet. So, I signed up for a 12-week class and took the giant leap of tithing my time, talent, and treasure. Okay, to be honest, at that time, tithing of my treasure was not a big deal; because I was making so little, ten percent of my income at the time did not add up to much. I figure that I had nothing to lose and everything to gain. Boy, was I right!
Fifteen years later, as I sit here writing this, my life is completely different. Back then, I shared my apartment with two other people so that I could afford the rent; today, I share my home with four other people because they are my family. Back then, I was always waiting for the next check to arrive or the next payday so that I could pay my bills and juggle the massive credit card debt that I had accumulated; today, I wait for the next payday and check so that I can help others and donate to causes I believe in. (Okay, and go shopping!) Fifteen years ago, I worried that I was too old to succeed, that time had passed me by; today, I am planning for my vibrant future with my husband and three children. In short, I am living a life beyond my wildest dreams because I applied these principles and practices in my life, and I was willing to be a beginner.
Therefore, at the beginning of each Absolute Abundance journey, I recommit myself to the study of my consciousness, and I say a prayer to open my thinking and my awareness to the infinite potential available to me at every moment. I have also discovered that while I can read and understand these teachings through the many wonderful authors we reference in this course, my greatest discoveries have unfolded in interaction with my fellow students. I would be delighted to have you join me on this journey, and I look forward to the wisdom and abundance that we will all discover and unveil together.
Namasté!
